Millions of deaths, shortages of medicines and medical supplies, overtaxed medical systems, economic disruption and even political upheaval could be the consequences of a widespread outbreak of an infectious disease. To shine a light on the necessity of pandemic preparedness Jeanne participated in an exercise put on by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Jeanne took part in the mock newscasts which propelled the exercise, and facilitated a discussion of lessons learned with leaders from government, industry, and global institutions.
